Hunan Civil-Military Integrated Satellite Application Industrial Park Established in Yueyang

It was learnt on November 22 that the Hunan Civil-Military Integrated Satellite Application Industrial Park Phase Ⅰ construction has been completed. It covers an area of 200-mu (13.3 ha.) with an investment of nearly 600 million CNY. The Phase Ⅱ , with an estimated investment of 550 million CNY, will start construction soon.

Serving national defense and contributing to society, the Beidou industry has grown rapidly with the continuous development of the information industry. The 6906 factory that once shined in Yueyang was renamed Guoxin Junchuang (Yueyang) 6906 Technology Co., Ltd. after restructuring. It settled down in the Hunan Civil-Military Integrated Satellite Application Industrial Park in 2017. Based on Yueyang Beidou satellite application demonstration city construction, the company focuses on the development of civil-military integration industries such as satellite application, geographic information, smart city, big data, cloud computing, and unmanned equipment. Presently, it has successfully developed more than 20 types of Beidou terminals in 7 categories.

As early as June 2014, the company has set up the Beidou Satellite Navigation Application Academician Workstation, with Sun Jiadong, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, academician of the International Academy of Astronautics, and winner of the “Two Bombs, One Satellite Meritorious Award”, as the leader. Yueyang, the third national Beidou navigation application demonstration city, is currently accelerating the building of the “two centers and two bases” of Beidou navigation. It plans to build the Yueyang Beidou Navigation Application Industrial Park into a scientific research and development, innovative manufacturing, and equipment production new type industrial base and Beidou regional operation and management center.
