Yueyang, South Korea Universities Pursue Further Cooperation

On November 20, a South Korean delegation headed by Park Jong koo, president of Chodang University , visited Hunan Institute of Science and Technology (HNIST) in Yueyang to discuss international cultural and educational exchange and cooperation. The two sides exchanged views on deepening cooperation in exchange visits, personnel training, and scientific research. HNIST President Lu Xianming and Park Jong koo signed a cooperation agreement.

HNIST Vice President Xu Xiaoli welcomed the delegation. She hoped the two sides would take this time to establish an in-depth cooperation mechanism, promote China-South Korea cultural exchanges, expand inter-university cooperation, and cultivate excellent international professionals, so as to complement each other¡¯s advantages and achieve win-win results and common development.

Park Jong koo spoke highly of HNIST¡¯s educational environment and strength. He said that Chodang University highlights service and practicability in discipline setting, which is in line with HNIST. He hoped that both sides would expand cooperation and innovation in major building, talent exchange, and scientific research. As agreed, the two side were intended to conduct teacher-student visits, collaborate in research projects, and hold international academic conferences.
