Xiangyin County Included in Hunan Ecological Civilization Demonstration Counties List

The Hunan Department of Ecology and Environment recently announced the first batch of seven ecological civilization demonstration counties (county-level cities, and districts) of the province. Xiangyin County made the list.

Xiangying has carried out dozens of projects, including battles for blue skies and clear waters, environmental protection law enforcement special actions, and soil pollution prevention, to build itself into a provincial ecological civilization demonstration county. In the past two years, it has completed an investment of about 3.244 billion CNY, and all the 39 indicators have reached the assessment standards.

The county has implemented green development idea in ecological civilization construction, and the ecological economy and living standards have been improved. Its economic development mode has been transferred, and the circular economy industrial system has formed. The livable towns and characteristic villages have been taking shape, including Jinlong and Helonghu towns. The quality of the ecological environment has been continuously improved. There have been no serious and major emergent environmental incidents throughout the county. The ecological civilization concepts and social ethics have gradually gained popularity, and the public's satisfaction with ecological civilization construction has reached 82.4%.
