Chorus Concert Staged to Celebrate 70th Anniversary of PRC Founding
An ¡°Ode to Motherland¡± chorus concert was staged at the Hunan Concert Hall at October 1, the National Day, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People¡¯s Republic of China.
It was hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and the Hunan Performance Group, and performed by the chorus of the Hunan Academy of Arts.
The performers, in chorus, ensemble, or solo form, sang a number of songs, such as "Today is Your Birthday, China", "Look Forward to Love", "CHANGSHA¡ªto the Tune of Spring Beaming in Garden", "I Love You, China", "Cuckoo Sings", "Hometown Nostalgia", and "My Motherland and Me". The amazing songs let the audience recall the past, feel the happiness of today, and look forward to a better future.
