The Hunan Province Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China Conference was grandly held at the Hunan Provincial Great Hall of the People on September 25, 2019. It looked back on the glorious course of the past 70 years, summed up the great achievements during the period, and looked forward to the bright future of the great motherland. It called on the whole province to study and practice Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era; remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind; accelerate the building of an attractive and prosperous Hunan with a promising future; and, work together to realize the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Du Jiahao, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee secretary, made a speech. Xu Dazhe, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee deputy secretary and Hunan governor, presided over the meeting. Li Weiwei, CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee chairwoman, attended.

Provincial leaders Wu Lan, Fu Kui, Huang Lanxiang, Wang Shaofeng, Hu Henghua, Zhang Jianfei, Zhang Hongsen, Li Dianxun, Liu Lianyu, and Bi Yi were seated on the rostrum.

Yang Zhengwu, Xu Shousheng, Liu Fusheng, Wang Keying, Hu Biao, and other in-service provincial leaders and veteran comrades also attended.
More than 1,500 people joined the event. They were:
-Representatives of retired veteran comrades; persons in charge of relevant provincial departments, provincial-owned enterprises, and undergraduate universities in Changsha;
-Major responsible comrades of the CPC committee, government, army, and the public in Changsha;
-Representatives of provincial democratic parties, industrial and commercial associations, and non-partisans;
-Representatives of the major political officials, officers, and soldiers of the military units stationed in Changsha;
-Some deputies of the National People's Congress and members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in Changsha; and,
-Representatives of outstanding figures and the people from all walks of life in Changsha, the provincial capital.
