Hunan Cultural Tours for Taiwan Students Begin in Yueyang

The 19th Hunan Cultural Tour for Students from Taiwan was launched in Yueyang on August 18, 2019.

The tour was hosted by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee, and organized by the Hunan Institute of Science and Technology (HNIST), and a development association for Taiwan college students. It aims to facilitate cultural exchange between Hunan and Taiwan, and intensify Taiwan youths¡¯ understanding and affection of the motherland. More than 100 Taiwan and HNIST students participated in the launching ceremony.

After the ceremony, the students talked, presented gifts, and exchanged contact information with new friends. For more convenient and further communication, they established a WeChat group. During the Hunan cultural lectures, Taiwan students were deeply impressed by profound traditional Chinese culture, and looked forward to the following study tours.

The cultural tours will conclude till August 24. The Taiwan students will, together with Yueyang friends, visit Yueyang¡¯s landmark spots, including Yueyang Tower, Junshan Island, Qu Yuan Temple, and Zhang Guying Village.
