Bianhejie Temple Fair Opens

Bianhejie Temple Fair opened on February 6, the second day of the Chinese lunar New Year. Lion dance, dragon dance, and color boat show were staged, adding festive atmosphere and attracting numerous visitors. From that day on till February 19, the fifth day of the Chinese lunar New Year, various mass performance would be staged every day, including Hunan flower drum opera, Yueyang flower drum opera, modern Peking opera, Baling opera, magic and acrobatic shows, and entertainment games. There were more than 20 troupes of 1,000 performers.

The Bianhejie Temple Fair, in its eighth years since 2012, is one of Hunan’s 13 special Spring Festival celebrations.
