Hunan to Promote Big Data Industry

Recently, the Industry and Information Technology Department of Hunan Province issued the Three-year Action Plan for the Development of Big Data Industry in Hunan Province (2019-2021). A big data industry with advanced technology, thriving application, strong guarantee and sound industrial chain will be formed, so as to promote the output value of big data industry to exceed 100 billion CNY.

In terms of key technology research and development, Hunan will rely on the National University of Defense Technology, Central South University, Hunan University, and National Supercomputing Center in Changsha and key laboratories of big data to carry out forward-looking layout in relevant fields and strengthen basic research on big data.
A complete system of big data products will be cultivated. By 2021, more than 10 mature big data solutions for various industries will be formed.

Efforts will be made to accelerate the deployment and application of relevant data collection equipment in the field of industrial big data. By 2021, a national leading manufacturing big data exemplary project will be built, more than 10 industrial big data demonstration platforms established, and 100 “big data + manufacturing" pilot demonstration projects launched.

By 2021, ten “big data +” pilot demonstration projects will be implemented in the areas of government service, smart agriculture, geographic information, transportation and logistics, medical care, smart health care, finance, cultural and creative industry, smart driving, tourism, and education.
Efforts will be made to foster big data related industries from the three levels of talents, enterprises and agglomeration areas. By 2021, 10 big data leading enterprises valued at over 2 billion CNY will be built, and 10 “big data +” characteristic industrial parks or application demonstration bases established.
