Hunan to Start Fourth National Economic Census Since Jan. 1, 2019
The opening ceremony of the Fourth National Economic Census Publicity Month in Hunan Province was held in Changsha on December 5, 2018. Hunan will start national economic census registration on January 1, 2019, and the registration period will last from January to April.
The census aims to:
-Investigate the development scale, layout, and benefits of the secondary and tertiary industries in the province;
-Understand the status quo of industrial organization, structure, technology, and form, and the composition of various production factors;
-Find out the assets and liabilities of the legal person units in the province and the development of emerging industries;
-Further investigate the basic conditions of various units and the output; service activities of major products; and,
-Comprehensively and accurately report the new progress of the supply-side structural reform, new growth drivers cultivation, and optimization and upgrading of economic structure.
The census objects include all legal entities, industrial activity units, and private-owned business operators engaged in the secondary and tertiary industries within the province. The census main contents are the basic situation of the unit, organizational structure, salary, financial status, energy situation, production capacity, production and operation activities, investment in fixed assets, research and development activities, and informationization and e-commerce transactions. The standard time for the census is on December 31, 2018. At registration, the time point indicator should be on December 31, 2018, and the period indicator should be from January 1 to December 31, 2018.
