Hunan Foreign Trade Up 25.3% in First 10 Months
Between January and October 2018, Hunan’s imports and exports totaled 236.76 billion yuan, increasing by 25.3% year on year, according to the Customs data. The trade with the ASEAN countries see a rapid growth, with mechanical and electrical products as main goods.
In the first ten months, Hunan’s exports amounted to 149.89 billion yuan, increasing by 23.3%; the imports 86.87 billion yuan, increasing by 29.1%. The foreign trade value in October reached 29.15 billion yuan, increasing by 27.3%. The fastest growth was seen in Hunan-ASEAN countries trade, with a trade value of 28.36 billion yuan, increasing by 44.3%.
Mechanical and electrical products were major exported goods. In the first ten months, Hunan exported these kinds of products of 65.32 billion yuan, an increase of 16.2%, and accounting for 43.6% of its total exports. The hi-tech product exports were 18.4 billion yuan, making up 12.3% of the total.
