Over 60 Mln Tourist Trips Made in Hunan During National Day Holiday

There were more than 60 million tourist trips and 35 billion CNY revenue made during the seven-day National Day Holiday, increased by 15.33% and 18.81% respectively compared with the same period last year. The data was released by the Hunan Tourism Development Commission on October 7, 2018.

During the ¡°Golden Week¡±, five major tourism sectors of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan city cluster, Dongting Lake, western Hunan, Xuefeng Mountain, and southern Hunan were booming. Those received more than 5 million tourist trips were Changsha City, Xiangtan City, Chenzhou City, and Yueyang City. The areas where tourism revenue increased by more than 20% year-on-year were Chenzhou City, Zhangjiajie City, Hengyang City, Shaoyang City, and Huaihua City.

Between October 1 and 7, 127 tourist areas (spots) included in the provincial monitoring system saw more than 12 million tourist trips, and the area tourism revenue reached 845 million CNY, up 35.1% and 20.7% respectively. Yuelu Mountain, Nanyue, Fenghuang Ancient Town, Langshan Mountain, Yueyang Tower-Junshan Island, Shaoshan Mountain, Wulingyuan Core Scenic Area, and Aizhai Scenic Area became the top 8 scenic spots for tourists.

Hunan¡¯s rural, cultural, ecological, and characteristic tourism also flourished during the period. The all-for-one tourism construction has achieved remarkable results. The provincial tourism market operated smoothly with no tourism safety incident reported. As of 15:00 on October 7, the National Tourism Supervision Service Platform 12301 received 16 complaints from Hunan, all of which were properly handled.
