Holiday Train Tickets in High Demand

The Changsha Railway Station announced on September 18 that, between September 22 and 24, the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, 300,000 trips are expected to be made via railways, 95,900 more than last year. During the later National Day holiday from October 1 to 7, 971,000 railway trips will be made, an increase of 115,000.

During the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, the Changsha Railway Station plans to add 26 pairs of temporary trains to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hengyang, Chenzhou, Shaoyang, Tongdao, Yongzhou, and Zhangjiajie.

As of 18:00 on September 18, there are only a few high-speed and normal-speed train tickets from Hunan to such cities as Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Shanghai for September 22. Those tickets towards Yueyang, Huaihua, and Shaoyang are hard to get.

The normal train tickets from Hunan to Guangzhou and Shenzhen for October 1st (National Day) have been sold out, while a few high-speed train tickets available. The tickets of other cities in Hunan are in great demand.

As the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-speed Railway Hong Kong section will open on September 23, the tickets to Hong Kong are in great demand. At present, there are sufficient tickets to Hong Kong for the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday. The tickets from Changsha to Hong Kong for the National Day holiday are extremely popular, and the tickets for October 1 have been sold out.
