Integrated ¡°All-in-one¡± Public Transportation Card System Successfully Implemented in Yiyang, Changde, and Yueyang

On September 17, ¡°Hunan Provincial Publicity Week on Public Transportation¡± was launched in Yiyang. At the same time, Yiyang¡¯s ¡°Yincheng (the alias of Yiyang City) all-in-one¡± public transportation card was put on sale to the public. It means that the card holders can travel in all cities that has adopted the all-in-one card system throughout China with only one card. Currently, this integrated ¡°all-in-one¡± card system has been successfully implemented in Yiyang, Changde, and Yueyang cities in the province. By the end of this year, the other cities and Xiangxi autonomous prefecture in Hunan will also be included into the one card system too.

According to the Ministry of Transport, the Publicity Week on Public Transportation will be held nationwide from 17 to 23 of September. Hunan will carry out a series of activities, including Forum on Good Bus Driver and Green Public Transportation Travel Peak, Alipay QR Code Payment on Car Free Day, and Low-carbon Day Observed by Government Departments, among others.

As an important part of green travel, national integrated ¡°all-in-one¡± public transportation card system has been further promoted in Hunan, according to the Department of Transportation of Hunan Province. At the end of last year, Yiyang took the lead in conducting a pilot run. Now, the system has covered new energy vehicles of 40 bus routes in the city.

At present, Changde and Yueyang cities have also passed the ¡°all-in-one¡± public transportation card acceptance inspection. By the end of this year, Hunan¡¯s 13 cities and 1 prefecture are expected to witness the full implementation of ¡°all-in-one¡± card system. At that time, Hunan users can take the bus or subway in all cities if they have a card with the image of ¡°Transport Union¡± on.
