Hunan Province Issues 10 Measures to Promote Civilized Travel

The Hunan Provincial Tourism Commission issued the "Notice on Launching the Theme Promotion Campaign of 'Splendid Hunan, Civilized Travel'" (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice") on August 12, 2018. It will carry out 10 kinds of themed publicity campaigns including public welfare propaganda, to promote green travel, rational consumption, safe tour, and civilized tourism. It aimed to gather positive energy from Hunan all-for-one tourism quality development to form a harmonious, safe, and orderly tourism market order.

The "Notice" pointed out that the Hunan provincial tourism system will execute a series of activities between August 12 and December 30, 2018, including:

1. Public welfare publicity activities with the theme of "Splendid Hunan, Civilized Travel";

2. "I Report Uncivilized Behavior When Travelling" prize collection;

3. Publicity campaign in government organs, communities, companies, and schools;

4. Encouraging environmental protection deeds;

5. Volunteer service activities;

6. Mutual integrity commitment activities;

7. Special training and skill competition activities;

8. First-class competition and evaluation;

9. Business environmental governance activities; and,

10. Defaulters punishment.
