Media Agencies Delegation Visits Yueyang
Organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, a large-scale interview activity themed ¡°reports from the Yangtze River Economic Belt¡± was launched in Yueyang on the afternoon of August 1. CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Publicity Department Deputy Director Zhou Xiang, and CPC Yueyang Municipal Committee Standing Committee member and Publicity Department Director Ma Na participated in the activity.
Yueyang is the first stop for the delegation¡¯s coverage tour in Hunan. The journalists conducted deep researches on the regulation of ports and wharfs along the riverbank of the Yangtze River, the role of bridgehead Chenglingji Port has played, Yueyang Tower and its embedded Huxiang culture, and the efforts Yueyang has made in actively integrating into the Yangtze River Economic Belt to promote Hunan to go global. It is learnt that besides the centralized interview by the journalist delegation, the Xinhua News Agency and CCTV will make live telecast at Yueyang Tower and Tianxin Wharf of Chenglingji New Port Area respectively on August 2.
This large-scale interview has covered Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan and Chongqing since it was launched in Lijiang of Yunnan on July 20. About 130 journalists from 10 central media including People¡¯s Daily, Xinhua News Agency, and Central Radio and Television Station, and 11 provincial and municipal mainstream media along the Yangtze River Economic Belt make a full view of the development and changes of areas there. Through their vivid descriptions, photos and videos, the journalists try to explore cultures, folk customs and historical inheritance of areas along the Belt, as well as the significant connotation of ecological civilization construction, in an attempt to show the highlights of culture, ecology, development and construction of provinces and cities along the Belt.
