Hunan Promotes Major Industrial Projects in Hangzhou

The Opening up & Province Strengthening Construction in Hunan and Major Industries Promotion Meeting were held in Hangzhou on July 25, 2018. The Hunan Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce jointly issued 565 projects for investment, with a total value of 2.2 trillion CNY.

These projects invested from Zhejiang Province involve four categories; namely, infrastructure, new industrialization, modern service industry, and industrial park construction. In specifics, there are:

1. There are 96 infrastructure projects invested at 429.9 billion CNY;

2. There are 223 new industrialization projects invested at 880.4 billion CNY;

3. There are 204 modern service industry projects invested at 654.3 billion CNY; and,

4. There are 42 industrial park construction projects invested at 225.6 billion CNY.

The projects involve advanced equipment manufacturing, transportation energy, auto parts manufacturing, modern service industry, new small town construction, new materials, information technology, and other categories.

This year is the ¡°Year of Industrial Projects Construction¡± initiated by the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the Hunan Provincial People¡¯s Government. It was said that all the projects have passed joint evaluation by relevant provincial and municipal departments such as development and reform, land resources, environmental protection, housing and urban-rural development, and economic and information. They were believed to have good growth potential and high reward expectations, which are very attractive to the market.

At the promotion meeting, seven cities and districts such as Xiangjiang New Area and Yueyang City introduced and explained key industries such as intelligent networked cars, new energy vehicles, advanced equipment manufacturing, modern commercial and trade logistics, electronic information, and e-commerce.

There were 115 companies participated in the conference, mainly focusing on Zhejiang's top 500 enterprises, listed companies, and industry leaders.
