¡°Huxiang Cultural Tour¡± for Taiwan Young Students Launched in Yueyang

On July 14, the 18th ¡°Huxiang Cultural Tour¡± for Taiwan Young Students was officially launched in Yueyang. CPPCC Shaoyang Municipal Committee Vice Chairman Li Siqing attended.

The cultural tour is an important well-recognized communication project between Hunan and Taiwan. The activity takes promoting Huxiang culture as a purpose and Hunan-Taiwan young students exchange as a theme. It aims to strengthen Taiwan young students¡¯ understanding of China Mainland and enhance the friendship between young students on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

More than 60 teachers and students from universities such as National Taipei University would have an 8-day tour. During the tour, they would conduct field visits together with Yueyang young students to Yueyang Tower, Junshan Island, Quzi Temple, and Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

Li Siqing hoped that through the activity, youngsters on both sides of the Strait will communicate more with each other. They will learn about China Mainland and Yueyang from the angle of development and an international perspective and carry forward traditional Chinese culture.
