China (Yueyang) International Hot Air Balloon Festival 2017 Kicks off in Junshan District
The China (Yueyang) International Hot Air Balloon Festival 2017 kicked off at Dongting Lake Expo Park on Oct. 26. The international flight master Frank, along with his assistants, hovered high and low on a thrilling hot-air balloon ride. Visitors from all over the world may experience flying in the sky and enjoy the remarkable view of Dongting lake wetland and ecological Junshan.
It was learnt that the China (Yueyang) International Hot Air Balloon Festival 2017 was held for the first time in mainland China. It lasts from October 26 to October 29. Based on the concepts of sky, flying, peace of mind, immersion, enjoyment, and, reflection, the festival was themed on "Traveling with Passion and Hope". The balloon was scheduled to take off from Junshan Expo Park to the Dongting Lake and the Yangtze River.
Brand has become the key point in regional competition. The international hot air balloon festival and the folk culture week are in an effort to lay a foundation for the establishment of hot air balloon base in Junshan District, said Zhang Quanliang, director of Junshan District Cultural, Sports, Tourism, Press and Publication Bureau. The festival aims to enhance the international reputation of Junshan District, showcase its culture, promote the development and utilization of cultural tourism resources, and facilitate the integration of culture, sports, ecology, and, tourism.
