2017 China E-Mobile Rally Championship—Dongting Lake Round Concludes

The 2017 China E-Mobile Rally Championship—Dongting Lake Round concluded in Yueyang on October 15. Hunan Vice Governor Xiang Lili attended the closing ceremony and presented awards to constant speed champions.

The Championship consisted of two race stations: the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Station and the Dongting Lake Station. The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Racing was held firstly between Sept. 15 and 17.

Participants of the Dongting Lake Racing set out from Changsha on October 11, drove through Yiyang, Changde, Nanxian, and arrived in Yueyang on October 15. A total of 102 racing drivers participated in the 500-km route around the Dongting Lake.

Finally, Huang Ningji and Shi Zesen of racing car No. 56 crowned the drag race; Sun Yuqin and Xing Hao of racing car No. 6 came out first in slalom race; and, Hao Gen and Ye Shuai of racing car No. 57 won the championship of constant speed race.

Yueyang City and Nanxian County won the title of the most beautiful race stages, and Changde and Yiyang cities were honored as the most popular race stages.

Initiated in 2016, the Championship will be held in the Dongting Lake Eco-economic Zone for five consecutive years. It aims to promote new energy vehicles as an environment-friendly travel mode, and give an impetus to sports, tourism, culture, and ecology development in Dongting Lake area in an all-round way.
