5th Junshan (Liangxinbao) Canola Flower Tourism Cultural Festival

The 5th Junshan (Liangxinbao) Canola Flower Tourism Cultural Festival was launched in Yueyang on March 8, 2017. A total of 40 thousand mu (about 2667 ha.) of canola flowers are in full bloom, which attracts thousands of visitors across the country.  
 
Besides enjoying a sea of canola flowers, the festival also features colorful performances and agricultural product sale. 

Brief introduction Liangxinbao Town of Junshan District

Features: 
Boasting fertile land, Liangxinbao Town has been keeping a tradition of planting canola flowers. Its annual canola flower festival helps the "spring outing" activities held in Junshan District more charming. The footpaths between fields are covered with layers of sand gravel to help visitors walk into the field. And a 20¡ªodd-meter-high sightseeing platform was built to offer the best views. Such supporting facilities as windmills, scarecrows and photography stations have been installed too. Each year when canola flowers are in full bloom, a series of activities will be launched in the town to greet visitors from far and near, including Peasant Sports Meeting, Canola Flower Photography Contest and Junshan Agricultural and Sideline Products Fairs.

How to get there:
The town is about 60 kilometers away from Yueyang downtown area. Visitors can directly take shuttle bus from Yueyang to Liangxinbao. Self-drive enthusiasts can get to the destination by driving along Yueyang-Huarong highway and then turning to provincial highway S202.
