The First Ice Sculpture Festival opened in Quyuan District, Miluo City on August 23, to help residents escape summer heat.

The festival was hosted by the Management Committee of Quyuan Management Area of Yueyang City.

Through a decorated arch at the entrance of the exhibition hall, visitors will get access to an ice and snow wonderland. The hall is equipped with ice slides, ice-themed amusement projects, and simulated snow scenes with northern China characteristics. Visitors could enjoy themselves to their heart¡¯s content. Some ice projects would remind them of their childhood.

The 30-day exhibition takes visitors to a fantasy world of ice sculptures and offers them a unique experience.

It is learned that nearly one million yuan has been invested in exhibition hall building and the indoor temperature is maintained at minus 8 degrees Celsius.

The festival is open to the public free of charge and will last until September 22.
