Flower Show to Mark 70th Anniversary of PRC Founding

Yueyang will hold a flower show themed “Blooming Flowers in Yueyang in the New Era” to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, between September 26 and October 8. It will add to jubilant and auspicious festive atmosphere. By then, the flower paradise, consisting of hundreds of thousands of bonsais, will be a good sightseeing place for the public.  

The flower show is the largest of its kind in Yueyang after the 2017 Chrysanthemum Exhibition. Hundreds of flower varieties will be presented, including Chinese flowering crabapple, Mexican marigold, and Bougainvillea glabra or paperflower (an evergreen, climbing shrub with thorny stems).

The event is hosted by the Yueyang Municipal Urban Management and Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau and the Yueyang Municipal Landscaping Center.
