“Summer of Science” Opens

Children concentrates on making airplane models.

The Yueyang Science and Technology Museum held its first open day on July 16. Students crowded into the museum to enjoy robot performances, VR interaction programs, aerospace exhibition, science book bar, and science and technology cinema.

In this summer vacation, the museum especially organizes the “Summer of Science” serial activities for the young science amateurs. Between July 16 and August 25, 48 activities of chemistry, physics, biology, and safety education will be organized. These activities are in seven categories – scientific experiments; sci-tech production; Rubik’s cube; makers’ study tours; science popularization films; youth commentator training; and, science popularization lectures.
 
The museum is open freely from 8:30 to 11:30, and 15:00-17:00 every day. Online application is open for the “Summer of Science” activities, with details to be published on the official WeChat account “科普岳阳” one week ahead. All the activities are free of charge.
