Transportation maintained a steady growth. The total annual freight traffic stood at 275 million tons, an increase of 2.8% from the previous year. The freight flows totaled 36.829 billion ton-kilometers, a year-on-year growth of 3.6% (railway freight not included).

The total annual passenger traffic volume hit 122 million people, down 2.7% over the previous year. The passenger flows rose by 2.3% to 6.044 billion ton-kilometers (railway passengers not included).

The number of motor vehicles for civilian use in the city amounted to 347,800 by the end of 2015, grew by 17.7% over the same period of last year. The number of vehicles that were newly registered in 2015 increased by 12% year on year to 596,000, of which private-owned cars numbered 326,000, up by 8.3%.

The post and telecommunications witnessed a rapid growth. The turnover of post and telecommunication services totaled 4.7 billion yuan (calculated at constant prices of 2010), up 17.7% over the previous year. Of this total, postal services were 517 million yuan, up 106%, and telecommunication services 4.183 billion yuan, up 11.8%. The total capacity of telecommunication office switchboards rose by 1.8% to 7.7779 million lines. The year saw 642,000 fixed telephone subscribers in the city, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%. Mobile phone users numbered 3.9288 million with a fall of 2.7% over the previous year. Fixed phone coverage decreased to 11.25 sets per 100 people. The number of Internet users was 589,000 at the end of the year, up 0.5% year on year. The coverage of Internet reached 32.75%.

The revenue from domestic tourism totaled 24.163 billion yuan in the year, up 20.2%. Foreign exchange earnings from international tourism topped 76.93 million US dollars, up 17.1%.
