Added Value of Yueyang¡¯s Industrial Enterprises Above Designated Size Up 6.9% in H1

The added value of Yueyang's industrial enterprises above designated size (enterprises with annual sales over 20 million yuan) increased by 6.9% year-on-year during January and June of 2017, 0.2 percentage point higher than that of the first five months.

Concerning the branches of industries, the added value of the city's industries of machinery; medicine and pharmaceuticals; textile; electricity; food; building materials; papermaking; and, non-ferrous and circulation, increased by 13.9%, 13.3%, 11.6%, 10.9%, 9.6%, 7.8%, 7.1% and 4.8% respectively from the previous year. While the added value of the city's petrochemicals declined 11.8% year-on-year.

In terms of the forms of ownership, the added value of the city's non-public industry grew by 11.5%, while that of the city's public industry was down 13.5% compared with the same period of last year.

In terms of the enterprise size, the added value of the city's large and medium-sized enterprises, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as micro and small enterprises rose by 1.7%, 11.0% and 12.0% respectively from a year earlier.

In terms of the industrial structure, the added value of the city's light industry achieved a year-on-year growth of 12.9%, while heavy industry with a year-on-year decrease of 0.6%.

The added value of the city's industrial enterprises above designated size in industrial parks at provincial level or above registered a year-on-year growth of 8.8% in the first half of 2017, accounting for 71.4% of the total industrial enterprises above designated size.
