Hunan¡¯s Service Sector Revenue Growth Ranks Sixth Nationwide in Q1
The Hunan Provincial Statistics Bureau announced latest data on Hunan¡¯s service sector on May 6, 2017. It says that in the first quarter this year, the revenue of Hunan¡¯s service sector enterprises above designated size increased 17.1 percent year on year to over 62.579 billion yuan. The revenue growth rate ranked the 6th across the country, 3.8 percentage points higher than the national average.
Among Hunan service sector¡¯s 33 categories, 32 showed a gain in operating income in the first quarter. The internet and related services, logistics, cultural and arts, real estate agency, and commercial services industries achieved the most significant growth rates compared with the same period last year, up by 73%, 71.8%, 55.8%, 52.5%, and 33.7% respectively. Industries concerning the people¡¯s livelihood such as postal services, education, and healthcare also maintained a fast growth rate of more than 20%.
There are 4,599 enterprises above the designated size engaging in service sector in Hunan. 65.6% of them, or 3,019 gained profits, a year-on-year increase of 3.8 percentage points. The postal services, education, and healthcare industries gained the highest profits increasing rates of 366.9%, 102.8%, and 102.3% respectively.
