Yueyang: China's Top 100 Sustainable City

The Evaluation Report on the Sustainable Development of China (2018) was released by the China Center for International Economic Exchanges (CCIEE) and the Earth Institute of Columbia University (EICU) in Beijing recently. In the latest report, Yueyang ranks the 78th on the top 100 sustainable cites list.

The quality and performance of the Chinese sustainable development has been improving. The top 10 sustainable cities in 2017 are Zhuhai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Qingdao, Wuhan, Changsha, Wuxi, Ningbo, respectively.

The evaluation system on sustainable development refers to five fields: economic development; social welfare; resources and environment; energy consumption and emission; environmental governance. And the five fields can be further subdivided into 22 factors.
