Yueyang Takes Lead in Hunan¡¯s Foreign Trade Growth in Jan. 2018

Yueyang took the lead in Hunan's foreign trade growth in January, 2018, according to the Yueyang Customs recently. Based on the advantages of "One Zone, One Departure Port, and Four Ports of Entry", the city has endeavored to promote supply-side reform in the field of foreign trade, overcome difficulties, take targeted measures, strengthen advantages, and shore up weak links.

According to Yueyang Customs statistics, the total foreign trade volume of Yueyang stood at 1.934 billion CNY in January, an increase of 3.5 times over the same period of last year. Its growth rate ranked first in the province. The total volume of import and export was 251,000 tons, rose by 2.2 times. General trade, remaining the main mode of import and export, totaled 1.894 billion CNY and grew by 4.1 times, accounting for 97.93%. 

The trade volume with the United States ranked first, followed by South Korea and Vietnam. The main imported commodities were yellow soybeans, coal-tar products, wood pulp, frozen products and fine gold mines while the main export commodities were petty commodities, acetic acid esters, chemicals,  canned vegetable, and, honey.
