Hunan's Per Capita Income Rises in 2017

Hunan's per capita income for all 13 cities and one prefecture rose notably in 2017.

The National Statistics Bureau Hunan Survey Office released its survey result of per capita income and expense, and living conditions for each city and county. Changsha, Zhuzhou, Xiangtan, and Hengyang resident's disposable income was higher than the provincial average. Huaihua, Zhangjiajie, and the Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture was less than 70% of the average.

Hunan's per capita disposable income surged in 2017. Changsha topped the list with 41,131 CNY, breaking the 40,000 mark for the first time and increasing 8.8% over last year. Zhuzhou ranked second with 31,234 CNY, increasing by 8.6%. Chenzhou, Changde, and Yiyang exceeded 20,000 CNY for the first time, respectively 21,527 CNY, 20,548 CNY, and 20,035 CNY, ranking 6th, 7th, and 8th in the province.

Though lowest in the province, Huaihua, Zhangjiajie, and Xiangxi's per capita disposable incomes had growth rate of more than 10%.
