Added Value of Yueyang¡¯s Industrial Enterprises Above Designated Size Up 5.4% from Jan. to Nov.

The added value of Yueyang's industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 5.4% year-on-year during January and November of 2017.

In terms of the major industries, the added value of the city's industries of power, machinery, pharmaceuticals, food, textile, papermaking, building materials, and non-ferrous and circulation increased by 12.0%, 10.8%, 10.6%, 7.3%, 7.2%, 5.4%, 4.6% and 0.8% respectively over the previous year, while the added value of the city¡¯s petrochemicals industry witnessed a year-on-year decrease of 6.7%.

In terms of the forms of ownership, the added value of the city's non-public industry grew by 7.3%, while that of the city¡¯s public industry was down 2.6% compared with the same period last year.

In terms of the enterprise size, the added value of the city's large and medium-sized enterprises, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, as well as small and micro-sized enterprises rose by 2.2%, 6.2% and 6.1% respectively from a year earlier.

In terms of the industrial structure, the added value of the city's light industry achieved a year-on-year growth of 11.9%, while that of the heavy industry fell by
2.5%.

The added value of the city's industrial enterprises above designated size in the provincial industrial parks or above registered a year-on-year growth of 7.3% in the first 11 months, accounting for 72.1% of the total industrial enterprises above designated size.

Note: Industrial enterprises above designated size are industrial enterprises with annual revenue from primary activities over 20 million yuan.
