Hunan Sets up Special Funds to Support Small Businesses

The Hunan Economic and Information Technology Commission announced on December 16 that special funds will be set up to strengthen support to the transformation and upgrading of 200 small and medium-sized enterprises in 2015. Each of the selected enterprises will be given a support fund of 200, 000 to 300, 000 yuan.

The move is to facilitate transformation of development mode among small businesses, orienting them in a specialized, fined, and new area. The special funds will fall into seven categories, namely, professional development, manufacture level upgrading, characteristic advancement, employment opportunity increase, management level improvement, research and development ability enhancement, and patented technologies.

A total of 200 businesses will be funded, including 32 from Changsha, 12 from Zhuzhou, and 11 from Xiangtan.
