Hunan Allocates 6 Mln Yuan for Flood Relief
The Hunan Provincial Finance Department on July 3 allocated 20 million yuan emergency funds, in response to the flood disaster caused by heavy rain. The funds were distributed to the severe flood-hit areas; mainly for emergency relief goods, disaster relief, and stranded people relocation. Six million yuan would be used for flood control; and 14 million yuan for disaster relief.
In addition to the 40 million yuan flood relief funds on July 2, a total of 60 million yuan emergency funds have been allocated within two days.
The Department asked related local governments, abiding by the relevant funds management regulations, to accelerate funds allocation and budget implementation to ensure proper use.
