The Hunan Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau (CIQ Hunan) announced, on March 31, that Hunan will abolish charges for entry-exit inspection and quarantine paid by Hunan-based foreign trade enterprises starting from April 1st, 2017.

All preparations were in place, the CIQ Hunan stated. All entry-exit personnels, goods, means of transportation, containers, and other legal objects involved in this policy are exempted from inspection and quarantine fees.

This policy will help lower the operating cost of an estimated 25 million yuan for all Hunan-based foreign trade businesses in 2017.

Though the charges are abolished, the entry-exit inspection and quarantine will proceed as usual.

In this year, the CIQ Hunan will issue more measures on such aspects as streamlining custom clearance process, and reducing related costs for enterprises, thus giving an impetus to the rise of Hunan via opening up.
