Yueyang Included in ¡°Top 10 Cities with Good Life in China¡±
CCTV held the launch ceremony of ¡°China¡¯s Top Cities with Good Life (2020-2021)¡± in Chengdu on April 23, 2021. According to the results of ¡°China¡¯s Good Life Survey¡±, Yueyang made the list and is the only prefecture-level city in Hunan Province selected.
The ceremony was held based on the data from the world's largest survey of the people's livelihood and feelings--¡°China¡¯s Good Life Survey¡±, and the evaluation results were calculated by models. The survey has been ongoing for 15 years and was jointly provided by CCTV-2, National Bureau of Statistics, China Post Group Corporation, and National School of Development of Peking University. Since 2006, the survey has been in line with three ¡°Five-Year Plans¡±. For 15 consecutive years, it has conducted household questionnaire surveys for 100,000 Chinese families in more than 300 counties of 150 cities across China. It is the world¡¯s largest survey of the people¡¯s livelihood and feelings and the most down-to-earth one.
According to the results of the ¡°Big Survey Index System + Good Life Satisfaction Big Data" released at the event site, Yueyang people generally have a higher sense of happiness. Among all the evaluation indicators, many of Yueyang¡¯s exceeded the national average. Yueyang was reputed as a famous historical and cultural city and a provincial sub-central city. The citizens' satisfaction index in terms of living convenience in particular ranks among the top nationwide.
