Yueyang¡¯s First Six Month Rural Tourism Revenue Reached 1.4 Bln Yuan
Yueyang Municipal Agricultural Commission reported that Yueyang¡¯s leisure agriculture demonstration sites and rural scenic spots had 7.8 million visitors in the first half of the year and an income of 1.4 billion CNY.
During the first six months, Yueyang government has recommended more than 10 tourist attractions such as the Amazon Water Paradise in Pingjiang County, Mufu Mountain, Fushou Mountain Forest Park, Lianyun Mountain Whitewater Rafting, and the ShiniuzhaiGlass Bridge Scenic Area to the National Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; and, jointly with it, launched a great variety of summer recreation activities. The various interesting rural activities and quiet environment of these scenic spots have attracted a large number of tourists, which has helped local peasant households to shake off poverty and increase their income.
