8th CPC Yueyang Municipal Congress Holds 2nd Plenary Meeting

The second plenary meeting of the eighth Yueyang Municipal Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was held on September 28. Participating delegates listened to explanations on election affairs and adopted election methods. 

A total of 476 delegates should be present at the meeting. Among them, 463 people attended, meeting the legal requirement.

Executive chairpersons of the congress including Wang Yi’ou, Li Aiwu, Li Zhi, Chen Zhigang, Zhang Zhixiong, Zhao Xiecheng, Li Zuofeng, Li Meiyun, Lu Xianming, and Wen Chunfang were seated in the front row of the rostrum.

The meeting was presided over by Li Zhi.

Xie Qun made explanations on election affairs. He briefed on the agenda of the meeting, including:
--elect members and alternate members of the Eighth CPC Yueyang Municipal Congress;
--elect members of the CPC Yueyang Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection; and,
--elect delegates to attend the 12th CPC Hunan Provincial Congress.

After deliberation, all participating delegates adopted the election method for the Eighth CPC Yueyang Municipal Congress.
