8th CPC Yueyang Municipal Congress Kicks off

The Eighth Yueyang Municipal Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) convened on the morning of September 27, 2021. Shouldering Yueyang’s development missions for the next five years and coming up to the expectations of the Yueyang people, the CPC member representatives from all fronts, fields, and all walks of life in Yueyang gathered together at the exhibition center, to draw a new blueprint for the construction of Three Districts and One Center.

At 8:30, Li Aiwu, executive chairwoman of the congress, announced its opening. All the participants stood up and sang the national anthem. A total of 476 delegates should be present at the congress, and 492 people attended, meeting the legal requirement.

Amid warm applause, Wang Yi’ou, on behalf of the Seventh CPC Yueyang Municipal Congress, addressed the congress entitled “Vigorously Implementing the Three Highlands and Four New Missions Strategy, Speeding up the Three Districts and One Center Construction, and Embarking on a New Journey Towards Modernization”.
