Hunan e-government service is getting better. Three days ago, Min Hong, a Changsha resident, applied for the certification of a secondary vocational school diploma on the provincial government service network. He picked up the accreditation certificate in the government hall today. In the past, it took at least seven days to run back and forth between his school, the education department and the government affairs center.

In June 2015, Hunan began making great efforts on five e-government priorities, also known as the ˇ°Five Ones", one team, one document, one platform, one website, and one Internet access point. In November 2017, the unified provincial e-government extranet platform was officially launched. The platform contains: e-government extranet; cloud computing center and big data center; "Internet + government services"; "Internet + supervision"; and, other application platforms.ˇˇ

By the end of November this year, 102 business systems involving 49 departments have been deployed and migrated to the cloud platform; data sharing and exchange among 65 departments and 13 cities and 1 prefecture have been realized. It is estimated that two billion CNY will be saved after the cloud platform goes online. Currently, all application platforms in the cloud platform have realized sound operation. Taking the "Internet + government services" as an example, since last December, the platform for the docking of business systems of more than 20 provincial departments, such as the Education Department, the Public Security Department, the Human Resources and Social Security Department, and the Health Commission, have been completed. Nearly 1,000 provincial items can be processed online. Over 60% of all government affairs handled directly online have been achieved. Up to now, there are over 600,000 registered users, and four million e-government service have been provided.
