Yueyang City launched a survey a few days ago. It centered on the following two aspects:
1. Implementing a ¡®water-railway-air¡¯ transport linkage strategy;
2. Constructing opening-up patterns featuring large ports, customs clearance procedures simplification, large logistics, and quick development.

Busy Chenglingji Harbor in Yueyang City

Chenglingji Harbor is one of eight major Yangtze favorable harbors. It is the only national first-grade water transport port in Hunan.

Sanhe Airport construction is under way and it will open to air traffic by the end of this year. The airport will be built into a freight transport hub in the central region.

Yueyang Lengshuipu Railway freight station has been upgraded all-round. And it got support from the China-Europe Express set by Guangzhou Railway Group. Yueyang North Station China-Europe Express international freight train will open soon because of the urgent needs of many import and export enterprises.

Yueyang City will make efforts in the following aspects:
¡¤Connecting Chenglingji Harbor, Yueyang North Station China-Europe Express train, and Sanhe Airport;
¡¤Developing its international logistics of ¡®water, railway, and air¡¯ transport;
¡¤Achieving ¡®water-railway-air¡¯ transport drive and ¡®three zones¡¯ linkage (harbor, integrated free trade, and airport zones); and,
¡¤Constructing an opening-up pattern for ¡®dimensional ports and big logistics¡¯.
These measures will benefit Yueyang by carrying out its strategy of innovation and opening-up, and becoming a transport logistics hub in the middle section of Yangtze River.

The survey will focus on logistics channels, comprehensive treatment, environment improvement, industrial layout, and information sharing. A field investigation will be conducted in Yueyang Municipal Transport Bureau, Chenglingji New Harbor, and Sanhe Airport. Views from various relevant sectors will be collected. They will be made into a subject survey report and then submitted to Yueyang Municipal People¡¯s Government.
