Secretary Du Inspects Yueyang
CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Secretary Du Jiahao inspected Yueyang on August 17 and 18, 2018. CPC Hunan Provincial Standing Committee member and Secretary General Xie Jianhui accompanied him on the tour.
He emphasized that we should:
1.Keep in mind President Xi Jinping¡¯s important instructions on Hunan to protect the Yangtze River Economic Belt and further strengthen its development strategy;
2.Promote well-coordinated environmental conservation and avoid excessive development;
3.Adhere to the principles of planning at a higher point, high level of openness, and high quality development;
4.Consistently carry forward the Yangtze River bank ports rectification and ecological environment treatment of the Dongting Lake;
5.Strive to make Dongting Lake a bright pearl of the Yangtze River Economic Belt; and,
6.Make Yueyang the hub of Hunan to connect rivers and seas; and the window to the outside world.
Secretary Du also inspected the Longyuan Reservoir in Linxiang City. He called for highlighting the reservoir patrol guards while protecting the drinking water source, to ensure the safety of people's lives, property, and drinking water.
